CBS just announced it’s canceling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in May 2026 — just days after Colbert blasted his own parent company for handing Trump a $16 million settlement he called a “big, fat bribe.”
Now CBS claims it’s purely financial. But with ad revenue down and pressure from the right mounting, many are asking:
Was this about budget cuts — or silencing dissent?

Only U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents are eligible to contribute. An Individual can contribute up to $5,000 to The Real Texas PAC per calendar year. Married couples may together give a total of $10,000 per calendar year. Federal political action committees (PACs) can contribute up to $5,000 per calendar year. The first $5,000 contributed in a calendar year from federally permissible sources will be deposited in The Real Texas PAC's contribution account. Once a federally permissible source has contributed $5,000 in a calendar year, The Real Texas PAC will transfer any amounts in excess of $5,000 to its non-contribution account.
