You’ve seen Trump’s latest lawsuit. In his frenzied attempt to shut down speculation over the Epstein List — which he still won’t release — he’s turning on his MAGA friends.
They want the answers he promised them for years. And they’re wondering what exactly he’s hiding.
Now Trump is suing Rupert Murdoch — yes, the same Rupert Murdoch worked overtime to get Trump reelected with nonstop propaganda on Fox News and his other media corporations.
But Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal ran a story last week on a very special birthday letter Trump sent to Epstein. Trump had a sad. And he promptly filed a $10 billion defamation suit.
That suit named our partners at The Lincoln Project, which he calls a "known anti-Trump organization" (thanks, Donald!) for daring to post the WSJ story to their 2.8 million followers.
This latest lawsuit is more than just a headline. It's a stark reminder of the lengths that Trump will go to silence dissenting voices and suppress uncomfortable truths.
And it happened the same week that Paramount announced that it was canceling the enormously successful Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Colbert makes fun of Trump on the daily (and why wouldn’t he?)
None of this is a coincidence.
Paramount already capitulated to Trump by agreeing to pay his future presidential library $16 million because he didn’t like the edit of an interview with former VP Kamala Harris last year. They sold out the First Amendment and all of us to curry favor with the president because they had a big merger that needed approval.
Donald Trump is terrified of dissent. And corporate media clearly isn’t going to save us.
