Last month, Department of Homeland Security agents walked into my congressional office and arrested a member of my staff—without warning, without justification. It’s a chilling reminder that Trump and his enablers are not waiting to take power. They’re already using it.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has quietly inked a deal with Grok AI—an Elon Musk–backed company known for pushing dangerous disinformation and antisemitic content. This $23 million contract gives a partisan, unregulated tech platform access to military tools and decision-making.

Let’s be clear: this is the authoritarian playbook. Misinformation, surveillance, suppression—all built on fear and wrapped in nationalism.

They are building an infrastructure of control and surveillance under the guise of “innovation.” As a Jewish American and a proud defender of civil rights, I will not stand by while these forces take hold.
