things you might not know about the California Governor’s race:

 1. Gavin Newsom is termed out. With no incumbent, this race is wide open,
and weird things can happen.

 2. Republicans are competitive. Polls have shown that almost half of
Californians are open to voting for a Republican, with one poll even
showing a Republican candidate leading in this race.

 3. Donation limits are much higher than in federal races. California has
one of the highest limits in the country, with individuals (or even a
corporation) able to donate almost $40,000 to a single candidate in
both the primary and general election.

Unlike other candidates, Katie has fueled every single one of her
campaigns with grassroots donations, and she’s keeping the promises she
made to voters.
