Subject: The Republican Jewish Coalition's big ad buy for Trump
To: Neil Strauss

Neil --

The Republican Jewish Coalition has just launched a new advertising blitz in key states aimed at building support for Trump among Jewish voters. It’s only a small part of their $10 million campaign plan for the 2020 election.

The ad features Netanyahu allies and far-right Israeli politicians lavishing praise on Trump for his handling of Middle East policy. One crows about how Trump has enabled increased construction in Israeli settlements beyond the Green Line.

Neil, I’ll be honest: Any political strategy built around trying to woo Jewish voters to support President Trump is doomed to utter failure -- as poll after poll makes clear. But here’s why we’re not laughing this one off.

The timing, targeting and magnitude of this spending shows just how much cash the RJC has available to put into races where the smallest funding advantage can make a difference -- including competitive Senate races that’ll decide the balance of power in 2021.

That’s why we need to make sure we have the funding ready to defend these candidates, and make sure they prevail in November.

Can you chip in $10 today to make sure our endorsees -- from Joe Biden to our House freshmen running in Trump +10 districts -- have the resources they need to overcome right-wing attacks from hawkish groups like the RJC?

The RJC has made it abundantly clear that it plans to use Israel as a wedge issue this election, framing mere opposition to annexation -- until recently a bipartisan consensus position -- as anti-Israel. And they won’t stop with smears related to Israel -- they’ll mislead voters on Iran, the struggle against anti-Semitism in this country (defending Trump at every turn) and more.

We know that attack ads can make an impact by suppressing turnout and distracting voters, and we have to make sure our candidates have the resources they need to fight back and win in November.

Please donate now to help JStreetPAC build the war chest we need to defeat President Trump and elect a new pro-Israel, pro-peace majority to the Senate >>

Thank you for your support.
