John,
Whenever someone asks me what the hardest part of being deployed to
Afghanistan was, I tell them: “Little Caesar’s Hot-N-Ready pizza.”
I missed one of everything while I was deployed: One of every birthday,
one of every holiday. Recitals and soccer games. I knew what I had signed
up for, but I still missed my husband. I missed our five kids even more.
After I finally returned home to Colorado, we were driving back from
church one day when my husband, Chris, suggested we stop and get two of
those $5 pizzas from Little Caesar’s.
Sitting at our kitchen table, surrounded by the six most important people
to me in the world, I couldn’t help but feel an immense sense of gratitude
to finally all be together again, just enjoying a simple meal.
“Wow,” I told my husband. “This was a great idea.”
Grabbing another slice, he had no idea that what he said next nearly broke
my heart: “Yeah, we do this all the time.”
Suddenly, I realized that there were all these little things – these new
family traditions – that not only had I not been a part of, not only had I
missed, but I had no idea existed. I had sacrificed so much more than I
even knew. And it killed me. It still does.
I am running for Congress against Lauren Boebert because I know what
sacrifice means. I know what service looks like. And Lauren Boebert
doesn’t have a clue. She is not a patriot. She doesn’t understand our
values, our struggles, or what it means to serve. And worst of all: She
doesn’t care.
Adam Frisch only lost to Lauren Boebert by 546 votes. It was the closest
race in the entire country. Together, we can write the final chapter in
Lauren Boebert’s embarrassing political career – but I need your help now
to do it.
We need to raise another $10,000 before midnight tonight to defeat Lauren
Boebert and take back the House for Democrats, but right now, we’re still
very short. If we are going to finally send Lauren Boebert packing and
flip this seat blue, I am counting on grassroots donors like you to chip
in now to my campaign:
[ [link removed] ]Please, will you split a donation right now between my campaign and
Blue Amp Action – whatever amount you can afford – to help me defeat
Lauren Boebert, flip this seat blue, and take back the House for
Democrats? I am not taking money from corporate PACs, so no amount you can
give is too small.
My father and grandfather both served in the Navy. I’ve always felt like
service is in my blood. And it would the honor of a lifetime to serve the
people of Colorado’s 4th congressional district in Washington.
I am humbled beyond words to have your support on this journey.
Thank you,
Eileen
