June is gun violence awareness month, and the terrible reality is that every day, communities are still suffering from preventable gun violence.
Over 100 people were shot this past weekend in Chicago — including a three-year-old boy who died — and that is just one tragic example.
The truth is, the best way for us to prevent gun violence is to pass laws that close loopholes, expand background checks, and keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have them.
To pass those laws, we need a gun safety majority in Congress. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to flip the Senate, hold our majority in the House and elect leaders that’ll pass safer gun laws.
