Hey John,
When people ask why I’m running for Congress, my answer is simple: because I love this community and I’m not scared to fight for it.
John, I was born here. I went to school here. I raised my family here. I spent over two decades in our public schools, teaching, coaching, and showing up for our kids every single day.
And when I look at what’s happening in Washington, I don’t see anyone fighting for us. I see self-serving politicians like Nicole Malliotakis who chase headlines and MAGA talking points, while our neighborhoods get left behind.
We deserve better.
Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn deserve someone who actually knows this community — not just during campaign season, but every day. Someone who will fight for good jobs, safe neighborhoods, great public schools, affordable health care, and the dignity every working family deserves.
That’s why I’m running. Not for a title. Not to be a stand in for party bosses. But because I’ve spent my life rooted in this place, and I know we’re capable of so much more than what we’ve gotten from our current representative.
So I’m asking: will you make a donation today to help us keep showing up for Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn the way this community has always shown up for me?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately.
Thank you,
Troy McGhie
