Folks, the Trump administration is holding critical education funding for Colorado’s kids hostage — and it’s already wreaking havoc in school districts across the state.

Without notice, Trump’s Department of Education froze $6.8 BILLION in education grants — including $80 million slated for programs here in Colorado — just hours before the funding was set to disburse.

These funds were previously approved by Congress — and signed into law by Trump himself. Now, Colorado school districts are left scrambling to save educational programs and retain staff as they face an unexpected budget gap just weeks before schools are set to reopen in the Fall.

That means Colorado schools might have to reduce hours, teachers could abruptly lose their jobs, and students could even lose access to essential programs if Trump refuses to release this critical funding.

It’s not just outrageous, it’s downright cruel.
