Team, two weeks ago, the so-called "big beautiful bill" was signed into law.
While this administration makes sweeping cuts to programs that seniors, sick children, and low-income families rely on, ICE is receiving tens of billions of dollars to continue abducting our loved ones without due process.
This means we could see the number of detained immigrants more than double. As ICE detains more of our loved ones in detention centers that aren’t equipped to house them, the inhumane conditions will worsen, and prison executives will get richer.1
Families are actively losing their healthcare. Seniors could be forced out of nursing homes. Rural hospitals across the country are on the brink of closure. But this administration’s priority remains the same: Putting all of our lives on the line to satisfy their greed and the greed of America’s richest.
Signing this disastrous bill into law does not mean the conversation ends, team. This is a call to action for us to unite and advocate for change.
We cannot be silent when the rights and dreams of our communities are at stake. Please chip in to help us amplify the voices of those affected and ensure we can keep fighting for a future where all of us are safe.
