Hi,

I made a tough decision this morning, and as a member of our grassroots team, you deserve to know the details.

Last week, my campaign team flagged a critical turning point in our race. One of my opponents made a massive ad buy — and is preparing to flood the airwaves and drown out our grassroots movement before we have a chance to be heard.

He’s backed by millions in corporate PAC money and sitting on a $20 million war chest. Once those ads go live, they won’t stop. And without action, we risk being drowned out.

My team laid out our best option: Expand our digital outreach, fast. Why? Because digital organizing is how we reach supporters where they are, build momentum, and grow a people-powered movement that can go the distance.

They showed me the numbers and presented a clear plan to scale up. There was just one problem: The money wasn’t in our budget.

I spent the past few days thinking it over. And this morning, I gave them the green light.

It was a risk — but one I’m willing to take. Because I believe in the power of this team, and I believe in you. If we’re going to build a people-powered campaign that’s rooted in real connection, we can’t play it safe.

Now, I’m betting on this grassroots team to help us close the budget gap and make this investment worth it. So on the heels of this difficult decision, I am asking:

Can you chip in $3, $25, or whatever you can today to help us cover this cost and keep building the momentum we need?

Your support means more than you know. This race won’t be easy, but nothing worth fighting for ever is — and I know we’re ready.

Thank you for standing with me.
