I love where Jarhead is going with the second book in his Jessica series. Thinking about the simple day-to-day instead of the drama of altercations and disasters is a very different way to look at the SHTF. In so many ways, that world seems kinder and simpler, doesn't it? Though I really don't want to give up my central air!
