Team, President Trump won my district by over 19,000 votes in 2024. I won it as well by running one of the most ambitious outreach campaigns in the country, meeting voters where they are, and finding common ground across the political spectrum.
My approach to winning is different from other Democrats. But frankly, that’s what’s necessary to win here. NY-03 is one of just 13 districts in the country to have voted for President Trump but also elected a Democratic Representative in the House. That means in order to win, I need to get votes from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike.
At the end of the day, the problems our country faces aren’t Democratic or Republican issues, they’re American issues. The cost of living, the broken immigration system, the lack of affordable healthcare—all of these problems affect people regardless of what party they belong to or who they vote for.
That’s why my approach works, and why I can win in one of the most competitive Congressional districts in the country.
