Dear neighbor,

Last night, Republicans passed Trump’s extreme rescissions package that takes a chainsaw to public broadcasting and foreign assistance. MAGA extremists claim this is about cutting supposed “waste, fraud, and abuse,” but they just added trillions to the national debt by passing massive tax breaks for billionaires. I’m calling it what it is: a scam.

Instead of working together to lower costs, Republicans are pursuing reckless, partisan, and shameful legislation that makes America less safe and more expensive. The new economic numbers that came out this week show that inflation increased above expectations, as prices for food, energy, and rent increased.

Donald Trump campaigned on bringing down inflation on day one. It’s now abundantly clear that he lied to the American people. The economy is shrinking, and everyday Americans are paying the price for Republicans' indiscriminate tariffs and massive cuts to health care.

We need the President and the Republican-controlled Congress to focus on the people – not the powerful. The refusal of the Trump Administration to release the Epstein files is just another example of the powerful protecting the powerful. Why won’t they release it? What are they hiding?

I talked about these issues and more during my press conference this week. Watch below:
