Service may not end today but over the course of the next year we’ll see mass firings of key journalists, programs shut down, and offices shuttered, until nothing is left.
John,
Today Congress voted to cut nearly $1.1 billion in federal funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
For NPR, who receives nearly all of their funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting this is a death sentence.
Service may not end today but over the course of the next year we’ll see mass firings of key journalists, programs shut down, and offices shuttered, until nothing is left.
However, if NPR can hunker down for the next year and a half we have a fleeting opportunity to save it: Reclaiming the house.
