The Consumer Price Index report is out, and inflation is continuing to climb . The main cause of this price spike? Trump’s tariffs.

As a small business owner, I’ve seen the impacts of this reckless trade war first hand: the manufacturers we get our materials from have stopped importing completely.
That means less raw materials available for small businesses like mine — driving the costs sky-high.
Look, I’m not some mega-wealthy business tycoon. My company is local and family-owned, and I know when costs go up unexpectedly, it's hard. You can't run a business or plan for a family when you don't know what things will cost from one day to the next. Because the truth is, tariffs are just taxes on businesses and families like yours and mine.
I know I'm not alone. I know that businesses and families across Miami are looking at the numbers and feeling the same pain and worry. And I know that small businesses aren’t the only ones feeling the impact: grocery prices continue to soar. Back-to-school necessities are more expensive than ever. And rent, utilities, and insurance costs keep going up.
