Dear Illinois Republicans,

Election season is here — and it starts with you.

Across Illinois, conservatives are leading in their neighborhoods, school districts, and local governments. But before we can win at the ballot box, we must first get on the ballot.

That means it's time to gear up for petition season.

On August 5, Republicans across the state will be collecting signatures to ensure our candidates qualify for the 2026 ballot. Whether you're supporting someone for county board, state legislature, judicial, Congress — or running yourself — this is where the campaign truly begins.

  • Help collect petition signatures for a candidate or local slate

  • Host a petition party with friends and neighbors

  • Volunteer as a Poll Watcher or Election Judge for the Primary Election

  • Connect with your County or Township GOP for opportunities to serve

✅ Check & Update Your Voter Registration

Need to check your voter registration, register to vote, or update your information after a move? Use the Illinois State Board of Elections Voter Registration Lookup to ensure your information is current.

To register online, have your Illinois driver’s license or state ID and the last four digits of your Social Security number ready. Staying up to date ensures you can sign petitions, vote, and participate fully in the election process.

🗳 Become a Poll Watcher or Election Judge

Election integrity starts with you. We need Republican election judges and poll watchers to help safeguard our elections. Every effort—big or small—makes a difference.

During the 2024 election cycle, we partnered with local Republican parties to ensure a strong presence during vote-by-mail processing. As we move forward, Republican election judges are in high demand, and we need your help to continue these vital efforts. With vote-by-mail playing a major role in our elections, all Republicans must act.

We need dedicated patriots at the polls to ensure fair and transparent elections. Serving as a Poll Watcher or Election Judge is one of the most important things you can do to protect the integrity of our elections.

Contact your local Republican County or Township organization today — or reach out to the Illinois Republican Party, and we’ll help you get plugged in.

🇺🇸 Become a Precinct Committeeperson (PC)

The backbone of the Illinois Republican Party is made up of committed local leaders called Precinct Committeepersons (PCs).

What is a Precinct Committeeperson?
A PC is the official Republican representative in your voting precinct — the smallest unit of political organization, but most important. A PC is the first point of contact between voters and the Republican Party.

What does a PC do?

  • Share information about Republican candidates and issues with your neighbors

  • Help elect Republicans through door-knocking, phone banking, and Get-Out-The-Vote efforts

  • Vote on local party matters, such as:

    • Electing the County Republican Chairman

    • Electing the State Central Committeeman for your congressional district

    • Filling ballot vacancies when needed

  • Support candidates through endorsements and grassroots engagement

In Illinois, PCs are elected in even-year primary elections and serve two year terms or can be appointed by your County Chairman. When running to be a PC, you will need to get petition signatures from other Republicans in your precinct to get your name on the ballot. You just need to have a willingness to share information about Republican candidates with your community. If interested in becoming a PC or for more information contact your County Republican Chairman or reach out to us.

This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact right where you live. The momentum we build now will determine our success in 2026 and beyond.

Can we count on you?
