I asked the team if I could reach out to you today, there‘s a lot to discuss. Many of you have answered our call to action this week. Thank you . Thanks to your support, we will have the ability to maximize our organizing, mobilizing, and outreach plan for next week’s special session.

ICYMI , there’s still time to give before Greg Abbott and the Texas Republicans kick off their latest power grab next week. Donate now to give us the best ability to push back against this desperate, unprecedented mid-cycle redistricting aimed at silencing voters like you. [[link removed]]

Now, I want to really put into plain terms what is happening in our state. Let’s take a look at what the records show…

Under Republican power: * Texas Republicans voted to cut food assistance for 5.4 million food-insecure Texans (1 in 6 of our neighbors) — THIS legislative session.
*
* They also voted to eliminate healthcare for 303,000 Texans. Again, just within this past session…
*
* And the party of “business” pushed forward legislation that will destroy 55,000 jobs.

Is this what y’all, your families, or neighbors voted for?

I have to tell you, I recently hit 100 days as chair , and over those first 3ish months on the job, we’ve been crisscrossing the state. Holding town halls and rallying with voters — including in South Texas — to expose the real harm of GOP policies at both the state and federal levels.

At every stop, in every conversation, it is clear that there is a misalignment between what Texas Republicans say, how they vote, and what they promise to voters. I say misalignment to be kind, but they are straight up lying.

On the other hand, Texas Democrats have been actively listening to voters and responding to their needs with how they legislate…Within the Democrats' minority power, House Democrats have filed bills for flood infrastructure, warning systems, and emergency communications.

Republicans killed these bills in committee.

And here’s the thing, voters see this, and that is why we are seeing movement in swing districts. The same swing districts that Abbott and Trump believe they can redraw to silence voters and stack the political deck in their favor.

That is why they are calling this special session. It isn’t about flood relief or legislating on your behalf. It is about their political gain and exploiting what they can to expand their power.

During my first 100 days, we launched Blue Texas, an eight-figure statewide strategy with Texas Majority PAC to mobilize volunteers, recruit candidates, and build the largest voter-contact effort in state history.

This strategy is already underway and will be running in parallel with our efforts to push back against Abbott and Trump. Donate now to make sure we can run full steam ahead. [[link removed]]If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Your support and action today will help build the political infrastructure we need to flip key races in 2026 and beyond. Let’s make Texas a showcase for progressive values and power.

In unity,

Kendall
We are the Texas Dems. We're protecting Texans from Republican extremists and their unending stream of misinformation statewide. Let's be clear, Texas Republicans have drawn district lines to choose the voters they want, and D.C. Republicans have poured tens of millions of dollars in dark money into Texas. We are on the front lines of pushing back against their influence with voters.
Taking Texas back from extremist Republicans is going to take all of us. Will you chip in now to help us elect Democrats who will work hard to represent all Texans, and not just the wealthy few? [[link removed]]
