Like the trope of the alarmed scientist in the disaster movie warning a dismissive public of impending doom, Defend our Courts has evidence of a looming disaster and no one is listening to our dire warnings. 

The disaster: MAGA is about to seize control of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in an obscure judicial election this November - a move that will transform PA from swing state to deep red GOP stronghold. 

PA judicial elections have extremely low turnout so if MAGA mobilizes their voters and we don’t, we lose, and this is exactly what we are on track for. 



The implications of losing the PA courts are catastrophic:

• No judicial body to issue court orders stopping MAGA’s most insidious overreaches in PA

• The majority of Pennsylvania’s blue congressional districts gerrymandered into deep red districts

• MAGA given free reign to rig the 2026 midterms and 2028 Presidential where Trump has floated that he will seek a third term

Barely anyone in Democratic circles is talking about this critical race and we've mobilized zero resources to compete here. 

MAGA on the other hand is moving quickly. They have kicked off a presidential election scale voter turnout program and billionaire dark money MAGA donor Jeff Yass, the richest man in PA, has already pledged millions to try to buy. 

Most PA Democratic voters do not vote in judicial elections like this one and we've done nothing so far to activate them. 

Three and a half months. That’s how long Defend our Courts has to build a massive get out the vote program that can compete with the full brunt of MAGA movement who are miles ahead of us. We can catch up but we need to begin building now. Can you rush a donation today of whatever you can spare?
