During these unprecedented times, the Left has shown where their priorities lie: pushing their radical agenda at all costs.
With a laser-focus on abortion, they have used the global COVID-19 crisis to their advantage. In March, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) tried to sneak taxpayer-funded abortion into an emergency relief bill. While millions of Americans struggled to pay their bills, the Left's idea of "putting families first" was to put more money in the hands of the abortion industry.
Tragically, as some states deemed abortion an "essential" service and many clinics remained open, abortion advocates kept pushing. Viewing shelter-in-place orders as a perfect environment for promoting at-home abortions, they called on the FDA to loosen its safety guidelines that restrict over-the-counter access to the "abortion pill."
In response, FRC joined other pro-life groups in signing a letter to HHS Secretary Alex Azar, calling on him to reject this extreme abortion agenda that puts women's safety at risk -- and makes human life even more expendable. FRC is working to defend the value of all human life.
