**U.S. Rep. Don Young downplayed COVID-19 as the “beer virus.” Now he and other Republicans are back to in-person campaign events.

The string of in-person events hosted by the Young campaign comes as Anchorage officials warn of a surge in COVID-19 cases fueled in part by people attending private gatherings. The city’s health department issued an alert Friday directing people to wear face coverings and avoid crowds and gatherings. -Alaska Public Media**

Don Young is being reckless with Alaskan’s health....again.

In March, at an event for seniors, he called the coronavirus the “beer virus,” said it was just “media hysteria,” and encouraged them to go about their everyday lives instead of taking measures to stay safe.

Now, as cases reach a new peak in our state, Don Young’s back to shaking hands and holding in-person fundraisers—including one inside a restaurant in honor of his 87th birthday.

Putting people at risk just to raise some campaign cash speaks volumes about how much Don Young actually cares about the people of our state.

This November, we have a chance to send a true leader to Congress, who will always put Alaskans first. This race is virtually tied, and we need your help to keep up the momentum. Pitch in $10 or $25 today to support Alyse’s campaign for change today.
