Hi John,

Before today comes to a close, I wanted to express to each of you my immense gratitude for your support, for believing in me and in our grassroots movement. Thank you doesn't even begin to cover it.

Together, we made over 1 million calls to voters, raised over $2.25 million in fundraising, and most importantly, proved that a Bronx public middle school principal who grew up in New York City public housing and was a survivor of police brutality at 11 years old could take on an entrenched incumbent who’s been in power for 31 years.

As the final ballots are still being cast — and as the tens of thousands of ballots are being counted — we now await for the highly-anticipated results of this election.

While there's still a ways to go, there is one thing that I can confidently say: this team has given it their all. We left it all on the field, and I know we did everything we possibly could in order to win this primary for our communities and our movement.

We'll keep you posted on the results of the election as we get them — but, for now, I hope you take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate all the hard work we've accomplished together thus far. I'll be forever grateful.
