The much-anticipated return of Splendour Festival is finally here! This weekend, headliners Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, Travis and Nottingham's own Jake Bugg will take to the Main Stage.
Whether you're a fan of comedy, dance music, or discovering the best new local talent, there's so much more to see on the other five stages that will span across Wollaton Park. Special guest Emeli Sandè will also join Vicky McClure's Our Dementia Choir to perform on Saturday.Â
There’s still time to grab your last-minute tickets (don't forget that Nottingham City residents can receive a 10% discount when booking in advance) and the box office will be open by the main pedestrian entry gate to purchase on the day.

Nottingham's city seaside escape is open for the summer holidays at Old Market Square!Â
The sandy beach and pool area returns, plus all your favourite rides and attractions including the iconic Starflyer, bungee trampolines, hook-a-duck and bumper boats. Relax in the Beach Bar, and enjoy week-long entertainment such as volleyball, salsa dancing, movie nights, and live DJs.
Entry is free for visitors wanting to enjoy the boardwalk, beach and paddling area.
 Open-Air Theatre: The Most Perilous Comedie of Elizabeth I

Elizabethan theatre is flourishing. But will a brand-new Tudor musical romp, in which Good Queen Bess takes to the stage herself, be the making of this heroine or spell the beginning of her downfall?
The stage is set for regicidal rivalries, devious dramatics, and plotting playwrights. Performed by Three Inch Fools, this new production promises to be largely historical, always hysterical. As the old saying goes... thy show must go-eth on!
 Notts Pride
 Sat 26 July City Centre
Notts Pride returns next weekend to celebrate the region's vibrant LGBTQIA+ community. The event will begin with a visibility march starting at Listergate at midday, weaving through the city centre and finishing at Sneinton Market.
The Main Stage at Sneinton Market Square will feature Rileasa, Niche Artefact, GIRLBAND!, Jason Kwan, Rob Green, Tom Aspaul, and Su, I Think, plus a secret headliner to be announced. The Grove hosts an Acoustic Stage until 11pm, including Rainbow Frog Biscuits, Ashly Song, and more. See the full line-up here.
There will be a number of road closures in the city centre to facilitate the march, which will also affect some transport services. More information will be released next week.
 Robin Hood Festival

This year marks the 39th Robin Hood Festival, which celebrates the legend of Robin Hood, Maid Marian and the outlaw band who have made Sherwood Forest famous the world over.
There's a huge line-up of events and activities during weekends over the summer holidays, including outdoor films, medieval jousting displays, falconry, storytelling, musicians, puppet shows, Fantasy in the Greenwood, and the Grand Finale over the August bank holiday weekend.

 Just announced: National Ice Centre 25th Anniversary Skating Gala

'Skating Through Time' is a one-night-only gala celebrating 25 years of the National Ice Centre. From grassroots beginnings to Olympic dreams, this is the story of Nottingham’s ice legacy - told through breathtaking performances and powerful moments on the rink.
Expect stunning figure skating, synchronized routines, high-octane ice hockey, short track action, and a special showcase from the GB Speed Skating Squad. There'll be live interviews, surprise guests and a heart-warming finale, before you can take to the ice yourself for a group skate to end the night.
This event is free but tickets are limited.
 Harmony at the Hall

The popular Harmony at the Hall series returns, with the Shipstone Street Jazz Orchestra performing in the stunning surroundings of the Great Hall.
The big band will showcase favourite Swing and Latin numbers from the 1930s to the 1970s, joined by special guest Sandy Bailey.

Mark your calendars, grab your whistle, and bring your energy to Nottingham’s biggest Caribbean cultural event. Nottingham Carnival will be headlined by international stars Etana, Stylo G, and Seani B!
Within the Carnival Village, you’ll find live performances and DJ sets to dance to all day, mouthwatering Caribbean food, a licensed bar, fairground rides and undisputed good vibes! The colourful Carnival Parade will feature hundreds of spectacular costumes and incredible choreography, and is free to watch at any point along the route.
General release advance tickets are now on sale for entry to the Carnival Village.
