Hi friend, it’s Marko’s mom, Eija!
I don’t usually send emails like this, but today is a special day – it’s Marko’s birthday!

For more than a decade, I’ve watched Marko fight tirelessly to make Washington a better, fairer place for everyone – from improving transportation and expanding access to healthcare, to protecting our environment and standing up for the most vulnerable communities in our state.
Because of leaders like Marko, Washington has become a bold, progressive example for the nation. And as his mom, I couldn’t be prouder of the leader and person he’s become.
