Hey Friend,

We've got a few ways you can make a BIG impact in just a few clicks:

☎️ Call your rep and demand they take immediate action for federal workers.

💸 Give it if you've got it: support immediate disaster relief for flood survivors and long-term organizing in Texas.

📦 Hold Amazon accountable: protect pregnant workers.

FROM AFL-CIO:

We have the votes we need to pass the Protect America’s Workforce Act in the House of Representatives. And we have a new way to get this bill to a vote.

Congress can do it with a tool called a “discharge petition,” which skips all the political procedures and shenanigans and brings a bill quickly to the floor for a vote. But we need every single member of Congress who says they support America’s unions to sign that discharge petition right now.

FROM ORGANIZING RESILIENCE:

Here’s what the Organizing Resilience team has been doing in Texas and how you can lean in to support.

  1. Our partners at the United Survivors Disaster Relief have been on the ground in Central Texas delivering supplies. They are now focused on supporting the first responder volunteers to provide essential training and trauma support to volunteers stepping into a first responder role often for the first time.
  2. We’re coordinating closely with community organizers from Texas Organizing Project and more as they conduct wellness checks to hundreds of residents who are grappling with loss, making plans to reclaim lost property, and bracing for additional storms heading their way.
  3. We’re working with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid to ensure year-round residents who have lost trailers and mobile housing have support to navigate the complexity of the federal disaster aid system.

Life will never be the same again for people who have lived through this tragedy. But what we can do is ease their recovery, treat them with dignity and respect, and provide long-term paths for engagement.

FROM WAREHOUSE LIFE:

Pregnant Amazon workers are being forced to work at a breakneck pace, lifting heavy products and climbing tall ladders even with big baby bumps! The result? Illegal terminations, hospital visits, and even miscarriages.

Warehouse Life has documented over 150 pregnant worker stories that demonstrate a disturbing pattern.

Sign our petition to tell Amazon: stop endangering pregnant workers!
