[[link removed]]John,

I’m Dan Osborn, the blue-collar mechanic and former union president running for U.S. Senate here in Nebraska against billionaire Republican Pete Ricketts.

I’m used to people underestimating me. It’s been happening my whole life.

When Kellogg’s tried to cut our pay and benefits at the cereal plant where I worked, we walked out. The company never expected we’d strike for 11 weeks through the bitter cold. But we did. And we won a fair contract and saved 500 good-paying union jobs.

After I was fired for leading the strike, I decided to run for Senate against Republican Deb Fischer. None of the pundits and so-called experts thought I had any chance. But we got 47% of the vote. Ours was one of the closest Senate races in the entire country last year.

And now, I’m running for Senate again, this time against Republican Pete Ricketts – a literal billionaire. I’ve been told by more than a few people that I’m nuts. How could I possibly take on someone with unlimited funds and expect to win? But the first poll already shows we’re tied: 46% to 45%.

I’m running again for the U.S. Senate to flip this seat for working class people, because I am sick and tired of the billionaires and corporations screwing over families like mine and getting away with it. They may think they can buy every Senate seat and write the laws to make themselves even richer. But ours is a movement, and we are just getting started.

I’m not a billionaire. I can’t write my campaign a million-dollar check any time I want to. Instead, I’m funding my campaign entirely with donations from grassroots donors like you.

We can defeat billionaire Republican Pete Ricketts and flip Nebraska’s Senate. But the only way I’ll be able to fight back against the attacks and win is if grassroots donors like you chip in right now to my campaign:

Please, will you make a monthly donation right now to my campaign for U.S. Senate against Republican Pete Ricketts here in Nebraska? I’m not taking money from corporate PACs, so no amount is too small. [[link removed]]

Please use the links in this email to start a monthly donation through ActBlue:

There is so much at stake right now in our country. I am ready to go to Washington and give these billionaires hell. But I am counting on your donation now to help me win.

We can flip this Senate seat – but we can only do it together.

Thank you,
