Far from ‘making America healthier’ — the Trump administration is making it harder to get care.
Donald Trump and RFK Jr. have promised to ‘make America healthier’ and lower healthcare costs.
But they’re doing the opposite — RFK Jr.’s Department of Health and Human Services put into effect a rule that makes it harder and more expensive for people to access healthcare under the Affordable Care Act.
Not only is this wrong — it violates the law.
Today I filed a lawsuit challenging HHS’s illegal rule and asked the court to prevent the unlawful components of it from going into effect.
Just some of what this rule would do:
- Shorten enrollment periods in state and federal healthcare exchanges, like Covered California
- Drive up out-of-pocket healthcare costs
- Exclude coverage of gender-affirming care as an essential health benefit under the ACA
The rule would result in up to 1.8 million people losing their health insurance — and that’s by the administration’s own estimate.
Bottom line: Unless the court intervenes, RFK Jr.’s HHS is going to make it harder and more expensive to get healthcare coverage.
If you agree we need to defend access to healthcare and hold RFK Jr. and Donald Trump accountable to the law, please add your name in support.

Thanks for speaking up — I refuse to stand by while the Trump administration puts up these barriers to care. It’s wrong, and it’s illegal.
