In 2023, Democrats flipped the Virginia House and held the Senate, creating a crucial blue firewall in the South. But now, with anti-democratic forces already mobilizing for 2025 and beyond, Sister District is doubling down.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re making our largest-ever investment in Virginia’s House of Delegates: a minimum of $671,000 to support 15 incredible candidates running in the most competitive districts across the state.

This investment is historic, John, and it’s only possible because of this grassroots team. But, we still need you. 

As of this morning, we still need to raise $10,000 by July 31st to stay on pace to complete our unprecedented investment. Can you make a gift today to help us close the gap and power our Virginia strategy? 

This is the most important election leading up to the 2026 midterms — and from safeguarding abortion access and voting rights to defending against MAGA extremism, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

That’s why we’re not waiting until the last minute. More than half of that funding is already in the field, and by September 1st, 65% of our investment will be in candidates’ hands. That early runway helps our candidates hire talented staff, talk to voters, and build winning campaigns.
