I can’t believe what I’m about to write, John, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised in a country that continues to put gun industry profits over people’s lives: Donald Trump Jr. just launched an online gun retailer called “GrabAGun,” a site he hopes to transform into the “Amazon.com of gun sales.”

We will not stand by quietly while Trump Jr. tries to make a profit off of his father’s reckless gun policies, and if you’re outraged, you’re not alone. You know as well as I do that we need to be funding common-sense gun violence prevention measures instead of creating new ways for the gun industry to profit off our lives and that’s what Brady’s doing every single day.

Every day, families bury loved ones who are shot and killed due to the country’s gun violence epidemic and Trump Jr. wants to make a profit off of it. This is extremist greed and a volatile stunt.

A particularly heinous feature of the GrabAGun website offers after-pay options that allow purchasers to buy a gun with no money down – shoot now, pay later. $0 upfront to obtain a deadly weapon to use to wreak havoc before you have to even make a payment. Nothing says blood money like financing your next firearm with a Trump business.

The whole premise of this website is to circumvent so-called “gatekeepers” of the Second Amendment and allow the gun industry to grow “the way it should be able to”. John, the gun industry isn’t being stifled – they make millions every year. And due to extremist interpretations of the Second Amendment and vile cash grabs, the gun industry and the gun lobby continue to succeed while over 100 Americans die at the hands of the gun violence daily.

We need to fight for a country in which we can all live without fear the way we should be able to, not capitulating to gun industry greed.
