Today, voters in Kentucky are choosing who they want to run against Mitch McConnell for the United States Senate this fall.

By and large, the Bluegrass State seems to have avoided the kinds of meltdowns we’ve seen in Wisconsin, Georgia and elsewhere over the past few months.

How?

Because state officials — Democrats and Republicans alike, who recognize that voters should not have to choose between being safe in the midst of a pandemic and exercising their fundamental right to vote — adopted a commonsense plan to make it easy for Kentuckians to vote by mail.

Legislation has been introduced in Congress that would provide the federal funding needed to make it easy for Americans in every state (and the territories) to vote by mail this November.

But that legislation is in limbo because Mitch McConnell won’t even let it come up for debate, much less a vote, in the Senate, where he runs the show.

Even though his own state is showing — in real time — that expanded vote-by-mail plus early voting can help safeguard democracy AND public health.

Tell Mitch McConnell:

Stop blocking legislation that would provide the federal funding needed to make it safe and easy for Americans to vote by mail this November.

Add your name.

Thanks for taking action.

Stay safe.
