This Pride Month, we celebrate not only the 5 year anniversary of Obergefell v. Hodges -- the landmark case in which SCOTUS ruled marriage equality the law of the land -- but this latest historic ruling to protect LGBTQ+ employees from discrimination:

While this historic win protects the LGTBQ community from employment discrimination, the fight for equality is far from over.

That’s why I helped introduce and voted to pass the Equality Act , a bill that would provide basic protections for individuals in the LGTBQ+ community in their day-to-day lives.

Without it -- they can still be discriminated against in housing options, public education, public services, federal programs, and in jury service.

But this bill is still collecting dust on Mitch McConnell’s desk in the Senate.

Everyone should be able to live a life free of harassment or discrimination. So I’m asking for your help to demand that the Senate take a vote on this bill. Will you add your name to my petition? →
