I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Republicans just voted to gut $1 BILLION from public broadcasting.
They wiped out federal funding for PBS, NPR, and local stations across the country that rural communities rely on for urgent news alerts.
👉 Republicans do not give a damn about how this will leave small towns in the dark. No local news, no weather alerts, no emergency lifeline in a crisis.
They said to hell with educational programming, too. Mr. Rogers, a Pittsburgh icon, taught us kindness and empathy. My wife, Gisele, learned English watching PBS, where Big Bird and Elmo have educated generations of American kids.
As a father, this is personal.
Trump gave Republicans an order, and they marched in lockstep. They want silence where there used to be truth, and they don’t care who gets hurt.
It’s not budget trimming. It’s *vengeance* against journalists and anyone who won’t kiss Trump’s ring.
We need to raise $20,000 by MIDNIGHT to show Trump’s band of bootlickers we’re furious – and they’ll pay for every shameless concession to Trump at the ballot box.
