Donald Trump is playing politics with our children's futures — and families across Massachusetts are being forced to pay the price.
Right now, the Trump White House is withholding more than $6 billion in critical federal education funding, including more than $100 MILLION for Massachusetts schools. That money was meant to support after-school programs, summer learning, English language classes, and mental health resources for students.
Instead, the administration is holding it back by using a bureaucratic loophole to “review” whether the funds align with Trump’s political priorities.
