Great news this week for Team Green!

According to a new survey released yesterday by Morning Consult Pro, Governor Josh Green has earned a 63% approval rating among all registered voters in Hawaii, placing him in a tie for the fifth most popular governor in the nation.

“I am deeply grateful for this level of support,” Governor Green said, “but I don’t take it for granted, and I’m going to continue working hard every day to earn it. We have been through some tough times as a state, and we've already accomplished some great things together, but we have a lot more to do.”

Among Hawaii Democrats, Governor Green enjoys a 77% approval rating, with 57% among Independents, and 46% among Republicans.

These high ratings from voters across the political spectrum reflect broad approval of how Josh has handled our biggest challenges since taking office, and the results his administration has already achieved on housing, homelessness, and the cost of living — as well as his steady leadership in response to the Maui wildfires and throughout the recovery.

Governor Green’s approval among Hawaii voters is at the highest level since taking office, and with no clear challenger yet to emerge, he has indicated that he intends to seek re-election to a second and final four-year term next year — but will make an official announcement during the campaign season.

These approval numbers show that Josh has the confidence and support of nearly two-thirds of voters in Hawaii, our priorities are supported by the majority of the people, and our state is going in the right direction.
