My Fellow Orange County Republicans –
Summer is officially here in Orange County and our party operations are in full swing as we charge towards November. One thing is clear: the enthusiasm and energy are on our side.
Our office has opened up for staff operations and we are beginning to transition into opening our offices for volunteers. We are ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed so our volunteers have a safe experience. Volunteers have the opportunity to volunteer in person or remotely from home to make calls for our candidates. If you are interested in volunteering please contact [email protected] to get started.
We are also finalizing our safety protocols for walking precincts. Our campaigns and our office will be releasing those protocols and resume field operations within the next few weeks.
Until we are back in person, we are utilizing virtual capabilities. We hosted a Tack Back the House Virtual Congressional Rally. We had almost 600 registrants for this event ready to volunteer and great turnout to hear from our Congressional candidates and California Republican Party Chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson.
At this rally we launched our Summer of Engagement program where we are encouraging Republicans to use this summer to volunteer for our great candidates and we have announced several rewards and prizes for our top performing callers. This months are critical to building a winning coalition of voters in Orange County that will translate to strong Republican turnout and victory in November. You are at the core of those efforts - we need our volunteers to win. I encourage all Orange County Republicans to get involved this summer to engage with voters
At our June Central Committee meeting we unanimously approved our first round of endorsements for local non-partisan races. These candidates and their volunteers will be additional troops on the ground working locally for our Congressional and State legislative candidates while securing our Republican majority locally in our 34 cities throughout the county. Any Republican running for local office can contact Randall Avila at [email protected] for more information on our endorsement process.
We were also joined by Orange County Supervisor and candidate for the 48th Congressional District, Michelle Steel. She offered an update on her campaign for Congress and her efforts on the Board of Supervisors to safely reopen Orange County for business and preserve our Orange County way of life while remaining conscious of Covid-19.
With under five months until Election Day we have to continue working every single day to elect Republicans to office in Orange County. The eyes of the nation are on our county to flip the House of Representatives and bring balance to Sacramento. This is our moment to show the nation that Orange County can comeback from 2018 and take back our county.
Every day we are seeing the destruction that Democrat leadership is bringing to local communities. We cannot let Orange County fall to the far-left who seeks to fundamentally transform our home. With your help we will fight back and restore commonsense representation of Orange County in Washington D.C. and Sacramento.
Sincerely,
Hon. Fred M. Whitaker
Chairman, Republican Party of Orange County
