Call me crazy, John, but I don’t think kids anywhere should ever be going hungry.

That’s why when I was first elected to Congress, the first bill I introduced in the House was legislation to expand school lunch programs.

So when Trump and the GOP’s massive billionaire handout of a budget bill cut food assistance programs for millions of Americans, I was beyond disgusted.

In fact, nearly 600,000 Kentuckians rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program ( SNAP ) to put food on the table.

We’re talking about children, single parents, veterans, people with disabilities, and working families who could lose or see a reduction in their food assistance.

Retaking the House is the first thing we must do to restore food assistance programs for millions of Americans. Will you please chip in $25 toward my campaign ASAP to give Democrats our best chance to flip the House blue?

Look, I know that with the GOP’s governing trifecta, it can feel pretty disheartening.

We emptied our toolbox trying anything and everything to stop this bill, but when it came down to it, we simply didn’t have the votes.

That’s what we need to change next year.

The GOP is very literally taking food away from children to pay for another massive tax cut for corporations and billionaires like Elon Musk.

We can’t let this go unchallenged, so we need to make our voices heard every single day between now and Election Day.

And in the meantime, you can be damn sure I’ll fight tooth and nail in Congress to fund essential food programs like SNAP so that children and veterans aren’t going hungry.

Please, will you join me in fighting for food assistance programs like SNAP by helping Democrats retake the House? We MUST make the GOP pay a political price at the ballot box for putting the greed of the few over the needs of the many.
