Hi Team—I wanted to make sure you saw this critical update from Nancy.

We're suing the Trump administration on behalf of Maine Family Planning, the state's largest network of reproductive health clinics. [[link removed]]

Trump's so-called "big beautiful bill" will make it harder for everyone, everywhere, to get health care, and we're fighting back. Patients rely on these clinics for low-cost birth control, cancer screenings, and other critical reproductive health services.

Your support makes this case possible. [[link removed]]

Thank you for fighting with us,

Team,
We're suing the Trump administration. [[link removed]]
FUND THE FIGHT [[link removed]]
Trump said he'd leave abortion to the states—but now his government is trying to force clinics to close even in states where abortion and other reproductive care are legally protected. Today, the Center for Reproductive Rights filed a lawsuit to block the cruel and dangerous new federal law that strips Medicaid funding from reproductive health providers.
We brought this case on behalf of Maine Family Planning, the state's largest network of reproductive health clinics. [[link removed]] The Trump administration is targeting essential, legal care and threatening to shut down clinics that thousands of Mainers rely on. Your donations will have an immediate impact on our litigation. [[link removed]]

Our lawsuit argues that this law is unconstitutional and we're asking the court to block it so MFP clinics can keep providing essential care. Half of MFP's patients rely on Medicaid, and many live in rural areas with no other health care options. MFP has already stopped accepting new Medicaid patients for primary care and may be forced to close up to half its clinics—cutting off care for all patients, regardless of insurance. [[link removed]]
"Congress and the Trump Administration have taken away patients' freedom to choose their own trusted health care provider and have cut off access to care for thousands of Mainers. It's wrong and counter to our values as Americans and Mainers. Every person should live with dignity and autonomy," said George Hill, president and CEO of Maine Family Planning.DONATE NOW [[link removed]]
This is just the beginning. If the federal government can defund legal reproductive health care in Maine, no state is safe. With your help, we will continue to fight back. [[link removed]]
In solidarity,
