Reality Now: A Climate Reality Newsletter. Welcome to the July 2025 edition of Reality Now.

This month has been a difficult one for climate champions everywhere. We watched Congress pass a bill that guts clean energy incentives, knowing higher electricity prices, fewer jobs, and more climate pollution will follow.

Then we watched communities across the country suffer from deadly floods from climate-fueled extreme weather that is only predicted to increase with the impacts of this brutal budget bill. Plus, cuts to critical agencies like the National Weather Service and FEMA will only hinder disaster response and preparation.

Even in the face of major setbacks like this bill, the clean energy transition is inevitable. Majorities of Americans support clean energy. Just as majorities of Americans opposed the brutal budget bill. Not even federal inaction can stop us.

The first step is holding legislators accountable for a decision that betrayed the American people to line polluters’ pockets.

Join us in thanking members of Congress who voted against the brutal budget bill and shaming those who ignored the urgent need for clean energy. [[link removed]]
