In a political pirouette for the ages, the Trump administration has concluded the Epstein affair was a nothing-burger with the President stating [ [link removed] ]:
“I don’t understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody. It’s pretty boring stuff. It’s sordid, but it’s boring, and I don’t understand why it keeps going.”
Really? Powerful multimillionaire and billionaire men flying to a Caribbean Island and committing statutory rape on girls as young as fifteen? And never having a single one forced to legally account for this behavior?
He further added: [ [link removed] ] “I would say these files were made up by [former FBI Director James] Comey and Obama, made up by Biden and we went through years of that with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax.”
Never mind the prosecution of Epstein occurred during Trump’s first term, when Obama, Comey and Biden were nowhere to be found.
MAGA firebrands Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino have been reduced to simpering wimps.
When Pam Bondi was asked [ [link removed] ] about the client list [men who alleged were serviced by Epstein’s girls] on Fox News, she stated “It’s sitting on my desk right now to review.” Did the dog eat the list?

What’s going on here?
If this is a nothing-burger, why is Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s paramour - who recruited the girls to service powerful men on Epstein’s Virgin Island retreat - serving a twenty-year sentence for sex trafficking?

Why are the judges overseeing this case refusing to list the men involved and not questioning why they weren’t prosecuted too? Was their crime less heinous than Maxwell’s? Is this justice?
Why did JPMorgan agree to pay the more than one hundred abused women a total of $290 million dollars? Epstein was their client but there was no evidence that JPMorgan financed sex trafficking. Investment banks are not in the habit of handing out this kind of cash. Was this a clever way for powerful men to pay off these women without their names being disclosed?
The party line is Epstein committed suicide. But Epstein did so by hanging himself from a bed sheet attached to a bed post only five feet tall. This is very difficult to do. Furthermore, the two cameras watching him were magically turned off and the two prison guards assigned to guard him were “on break.”
Reasonable people can be skeptical. But think about this. To murder Epstein and not leave a trace would have required multiple threats and bribes.
Could those charged with exposing these powerful men have received emails saying, “We know where you live and where your kids live. Look at what happened to Epstein.”
Would any judge, prosecutor or cabinet secretary in his or her right mind release the client list after seeing what happened to Epstein? These public servants are not wealthy enough to hire bodyguards to protect themselves and their families.
Liberals are quick to point out that Trump may have been involved with Epstein’s girls too and his loyal staff is just protecting him. In fact, Elon Musk stated this may be the case.
But in an attempt to keep Trump out of the White House, our ruling class invaded his house with armed men with orders to “use deadly force if necessary” because of a silly disagreement over classified documents. They convicted him of thirty-four felonies for using clever bookkeeping to cover up his alleged tryst with a porn star. They convicted him of sexual abuse for an incident that supposedly occurred over thirty years ago without a scintilla of objective evidence. They rendered a judgement against him for almost a billion dollars for inflating his assets even though the banks that used those assets for collateral to lend him money didn’t lose a nickel. They arrested him and subjected him to a humiliating mug shot. They even tried to keep him off the ballot until the Supreme Court in a 9-0 ruling (Yes. Ketanji Brown Jackson too) said this was legal nonsense.
If there was video or strong objective evidence that Trump was involved with Epstein’s girls, wouldn’t exposing this have been the best way to bring him down?
The overwhelming odds is Trump was not involved. But he did survive two assassination attempts, one in which if he had not turned his head in the last second, he would have been dead.
Perhaps the President - seeing his life flash before his eyes - concluded that discretion is the better part of valor, especially since he has children and grandchildren. And there was little to be gained but a lot to lose by exposing these powerful men.
But one thing is almost certain: The truth will never come out. The MAGA base may be irritated, but they’ll get over it. Trump is delivering on all his other promises. And the powerful men who abused these women will sleep like babies.
