I'm going to be very blunt, John:
I know we've been sending more emails than usual asking you to support our work, and you may be asking yourself, "why should I donate to 350.org?"
It's a fair question. And one that you deserve to know the answer to...
John, your contribution today goes straight toward growing our climate movement in the build-up to COP30, which represents a key opportunity to solidify global commitments to climate action, and beyond.
Right now, climate organizations like ours are facing a coordinated effort to shut us down. Around the world — not just in the U.S. — governments and fossil fuel companies are doing everything they can to make it harder for people like us to speak out and organize.
One of their weapons of choice? Blocking our funding.
They're pressuring funders, attacking charities, attacking our right to protest, and trying to create a climate of fear. And to be honest, it's working — we're feeling the chilling effect on our finances. But here's the thing:
We are not panicking. We are planning. We are organizing. And we're not giving in.
Your contribution helps power protests, mobilizations, and the behind-the-scenes organizing that fuels this movement. It means we can keep standing up to polluters, pushing governments, and refusing to be silenced.
Thank you for supporting our movement for a better world.
Onwards,
Olivia Langhoff
