Email from Rep. Malliotakis My Friend - Thank you to the more than 3,500 constituents who joined last night’s live telephone town hall—our second this month! In case you missed it, you can listen in using the link below. I hope you can join us next time! Sincerely, Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis LISTEN HERE INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES UNDERWAY AT NEWARK AIRPORT Following the runway renovation and completion of the new fiber optic network at Newark Airport, we are investing even more to modernize our aviation system starting at Newark and expanding to airports across the country with upgrades to radar, communications, and air traffic control systems. LEARN MORE STATEN ISLAND-BROOKLYN FAST FERRY COMMENT PERIOD NOW OPEN I also want to share that the New York City Economic Development Corporation is seeking public comment on proposed new fast ferry routes across the city including one that would reconnect Staten Island and Brooklyn by ferry for the first time since 1964! For years, we’ve urged the city to better utilize our waterways to ease traffic and expand transportation options for Staten Islanders and Brooklynites. Now, for the first time in decades, the city is one step closer to making this long-awaited route a reality. The public comment period is open throughout the summer, and we encourage everyone to complete the form and have their voices heard. If there is enough positive feedback, the Staten Island–Brooklyn ferry could launch as early as this winter finally providing both boroughs with greater access to reliable and affordable ferry service.
