John,
This month, I stood shoulder to shoulder with my colleagues in Harrisburg to send a clear message: SEPTA is not optional — it’s essential.
For so many Philadelphians, public transit is how they get to work, pick up their kids, attend school, and simply live their lives. But now, state budget proposals threaten to slash 50+ bus routes, 5 Regional Rail lines, and eliminate all train service after 9 PM while raising fares.
Let me be clear: I won’t let that happen without a fight. But I can’t do it alone. We’ve set a mid-month goal to raise $5,000 by the end of the week. Will you pitch in $10 today to power this fight forward?

While we push back against those cuts, I’m also focused on making sure Philly shines as we prepare to take the global stage in 2026. That’s when our city will host six FIFA World Cup matches, the MLB All-Star Game, and the nation’s Semiquincentennial — America’s 250th birthday.
It’s a historic moment that will bring energy, investment, and pride to our neighborhoods, stadiums, and small businesses.
I’m proud to be your City Council President and proud to fight for a Philly that works for all of us. But I need your help to keep going strong.
Donate $10 now and help us hit our $5,000 goal before the end of the week.
In solidarity,
Kenyatta
