[Imagine waking up every day and breathing toxic air, rank from the smell of nearby plastic-burning incinerators]([link removed])
Dear John,
Imagine waking up every day and breathing toxic air, rank from the smell of nearby plastic-burning incinerators. No matter how you attempt to filter it, the acrid smell still creeps in each day, giving you headaches, asthma, and nosebleeds. Then imagine watching your neighbors and loved ones (or maybe even yourself) become sick [from a completely preventable disease]([link removed]) caused by this pollution, yet not be able to move away and escape.
That’s the daily reality for many people living in communities on the frontlines of plastic pollution, and it’s by design. No one should be forced to sacrifice their health for the sake of plastic, period.
[DONATE NOW]([link removed])
Help us stand up to polluters and push for policies that protect people, not plastic. Your donation helps create a world where our health, and our air, water, and soil are valued and prioritized. I know there are a lot of issues to care about right now, and it can be exhausting to try to keep up with everything. But please consider a donation to Plastic Pollution Coalition in honor of Plastic Free July and help us take back our communities and planet from polluting plastic.
A donation this month means 3X the impact to help fund our critical advocacy work to stop polluters, thanks to a generous board member. [Will you join us in turning off the plastic tap?]([link removed]) We are grateful for your help.
Onward,
[Dianna Cohen]
