Senate Republicans Sabotage $400 Million of Trump's Anti-Woke Cuts |
by Suzanne Bowdey |
For a party with such distrust in the mainstream media, Republicans certainly put a lot of stock in the headlines about PEPFAR. While thousands of people would most certainly not die from the targeted cuts to the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, Senate Republicans are determined to keep throwing taxpayer dollars at the Democrats' woke programs in the name of "foreign aid." |

Federal Appeals Court Backs West Virginia in Banning Abortion Drug |
by S.A. McCarthy |
In what pro-life advocates are touting as a major victory, a federal appeals court is allowing the Mountain State to ban the abortion drug mifepristone. In a ruling Tuesday, Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit upheld as constitutional a West Virginia law outlawing mifepristone. Nevada-based mifepristone manufacturer GenBioPro had challenged West Virginia's law, arguing that the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) approval of the abortion drug should supersede the state's law. A district court initially sided with West Virginia, and the appellate court did the same this week. |

Despite $27 Billion Surplus in June, More Fiscal Reforms Are Needed |
by Joshua Arnold |
The U.S. Treasury Department announced Friday that the federal government ran a surplus of $27 billion in June, raising hopes that Washington may have turned a corner away from debt-bound demise. The month-in-black marked the first June surplus since 2017, the beginning of President Donald Trump's first term, and it improved substantially upon the $71 billion deficit the government ran in June 2024. However, while the monthly surplus is a positive sign, the U.S. government is not out of the woods just yet. |

Trump Admin. Streamlines Detentions and Immigration Courts |
by S.A. McCarthy |
In a bid to follow through on his campaign's most high-profile pledges, President Donald Trump and his deputies are accelerating deportation and border security efforts. The Trump administration's aggressive approach to illegal immigration has already resulted in the lowest recorded number of border crossings in the nation's history, with June seeing a total of zero illegal immigrants released across the country's southern border into the interior. Now, immigration authorities are taking further measures to ensure that illegal immigrants are kept out of the U.S. |
