Donald Trump’s Department of Education is pulling the rug out from under Minnesota students.

With just weeks left until school starts in many parts of Minnesota, the Trump administration has frozen over $70 million in education funding for our state—without any warning or legal authority.

This critical funding supports after school programs, English language courses, teacher training, and more. Some summer school programs have already been impacted. If we don’t act now, even more services will disappear.

That’s why, on Monday, Keith Ellison joined 23 attorneys general and two states in suing the Trump administration. This coalition is holding Trump accountable for violating the Constitution and working tirelessly to get $6.8 billion in education funds released.

Keith won’t let Trump and his cronies illegally slash education grants, shortchange our students, and starve our public schools. But we need to have his back, just like he has ours.
