Hello,

When I was born, my dad worked long shifts at the steel mill, then headed straight to night classes at Canisius College. He didn’t have much free time, and he didn’t have a lot of money. But he had determination and a dream: to build a better future for our family.

And he did.

He earned his degree. He built a career. And he showed me what’s possible when people get a real chance.

That’s why I mean it when I say: Your family is my fight.

Because I’ve seen how hard families work just to make ends meet, and I’ve seen the major difference opportunities can make.

As Governor, I’m focused on making sure every New Yorker has that same shot. That means I’m working to ensure everyone has access to a good education, a job with fair wages and strong benefits, and the chance to build a great future.
