Friend,

You read that right. Today, I'm launching my campaign for U.S. Senate in Colorado--and I hope you'll join me in the fight to give Colorado's priorities and values a voice in Washington.

Let me tell you more about this decision--then will you chip in to help build this campaign from the ground up?

For the last six months, I've listened to people from all over the country talk about their hopes, dreams and concerns for our future. Again and again I heard about health care, I heard about jobs. I heard about the same issues from my friends and neighbors here at home. But I also heard:

"What about the Senate?"

It's a great question. Here in Colorado, we're a model for the nation on expanding access to health care, combating gun violence and actually taking action on climate change--yet we're represented in Washington by a senator who votes 99% of the time with Donald Trump and goes along with Mitch McConnell's obstruction and partisan political games.

Cory Gardner's votes and priorities are out of step with Colorado. We expanded health care to nearly 400,000 Coloradans--no thanks to Gardner, who's voted to undermine our progress and gut protections for pre-existing conditions. We enacted universal background checks and stood up to the NRA--meanwhile, Gardner has benefited from nearly $4 million from the NRA.

And we definitely did not give the majority of our votes in 2016--let alone 99% of them--to Donald Trump.

We can do a lot better. And we must. My conversations this year reinforced that the next occupant of the White House won't get anything done if Mitch McConnell is still leading the Senate and if people like Cory Gardner never push back.

At a moment like this, we can't just throw up our hands and walk away. I'm running to change the way Washington works as our next U.S. Senator.

The numbers are on our side. Gardner is the most vulnerable Republican incumbent in the whole country--and his team knows it. The other side is going to throw everything they've got at us, and Gardner's special-interest friends, including the NRA, will spend big to keep this seat.

Meanwhile, I'm refusing all corporate PAC money on this campaign. With this grassroots team on my side, I believe we can take them on--and win.

I've given my heart and energy to this state as a small business owner, the mayor of Denver and as a two-term governor. I've seen what can happen when people come together with a common goal and a spirit of collaboration.

I'm not done fighting. Knowing what's at stake for our state and our country, I believe I've got the experience to tackle our challenges head on.

We can win this. Today, I hope you'll join me in this fight for a better future by making your first donation to my Senate campaign today:

Let's do this,
