Too many Americans have bought into the lie that there is a separation of church and state (David Barton debunks it here). Thomas Jefferson had no intention for people of faith NOT to be engaged in government – indeed the opposite! The 1st Amendment was intended to keep government out of regulating religion, but it did not keep religion out of government or the public square. We are very excited about the recent IRS statement that says "clergy CAN endorse from their pulpit in the context of their church." This is GOOD NEWS!
