I’m Jerry -- Abby’s Dad.
Abby and I have always enjoyed fishing together, and I’m so grateful that I got to celebrate Father’s Day with her -- and a whole lot of fish (see the photo below!).
Fishing is always a good time to sit and reflect, and yesterday I did a lot of reflecting.
Growing up, I was always taught that if you put in the work, you could make it. And so I worked hard every day to provide for my family. But it seems like Iowans are having to work harder and harder every year just to make ends meet.
That’s why Abby ran for office -- to stand up for Iowa families. She's fighting to protect our livelihoods and ensure we have stability, so we can spend time with our families, just like I got to do yesterday. It was great to spend the day with Abby, and even better to see her reel in some bass.
But there are folks who want to stop Abby from standing up for Iowans. Abby can fight GOP lies just as well as she can fight bass, but we need to make sure she has everything she needs to win.
Abby will continue to stand up for Iowans -- but she has to win her reelection first. Help her beat the Republican campaign machine once and for all -- after all, we have bigger fish to fry.
