The Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh has a new leader after Bishop Mark A. Eckman was formally installed this week to succeed David Zubik.


Some local Catholic groups told Public Source they hope the new leader, who is a longtime Pittsburgher, uses his post to advocate for immigrants and the further inclusion of women and LGBTQ people in the church.
